UPS Package Tracking

When you run a business that ships a product to a customer you tend to focus on how efficiently your packages are being sent out. Or at least if they are making it.

Luckily things have come a long way in the area of online package tracking.

Both UPS and FedEx have numerous online tracking options.

UPS offers the following.

Track by E-mail
It’s easy to track up to 25 UPS small package shipments in a single e-mail. Simply send your tracking numbers from anywhere you can compose an e-mail, and UPS will return a detailed tracking response to your e-mail address.

Track Your Shipment by E-mail
Track by Reference
When creating a shipment, you can assign a reference like a purchase order number or customer number (up to 35 characters) to help track shipments without entering tracking numbers.

Better Visibility

FedEx also has a plethora of online shipping tools to help you better organize where your package is at any given moment.

Track by Reference
Track by any Reference number related to your package or freight shipment,in addition to purchase order numbers.

Track by TCN
Track your Government orders by simply entering the Transportation Control Number (TCN). Do not precede the number with any spaces or with the letters “TCN”.

One area their online tools are lacking is tracking when a package is late and providing a easy way to submit a refund claim.

Now let’s be honest. It’s in their best interest to leave that sort of data out, or at least make it somewhat obscure to find.

That’s why it is so great to have a third party partner like PackageFox that can keep an eye on your financial interest when a package is delivered late.

Package Fox will keep an eye out for a late delivery and automatically submit a claim on your behalf.

This completely eliminates the need for you to watch down to the minuet for late deliveries and the need for mastering each company’s refund submission policy.
