But how long does it take to get your refund once it has been requested?

Depending on the carrier and the type of account you have with them, your late package refund will be credited back in a few days.

Okay I know that was a standard answer that doesn’t really help too much.

It’s better than 6-8 weeks but you are excited and want to know what goes on behind the digital veil as it were.

Let’s take a look at what an average business who ships a few hundred or more expedited packages a month has to go through to check each delivery to see if they qualify for a refund.

The following is from an employee of a business that shipped 300-400 packaged in a given two weeks.

“I used to be in charge of shipping at my old company, and part of my job was to go through the FedEx invoices every 2 weeks. In the invoice would be details about all of the shipments we’d done since the last invoice; what we shipped, how much it weighed, how much it cost, what service we used (i.e., Overnight, Priority Overnight, 2 Day, etc.) and most importantly, when it was delivered. This was generally an enormous pain in the neck, because we’d go through 300-400 shipments in an average two weeks.

I had to memorize what their delivery guarantee was for all of the separate “zones” (Priority Overnight was guaranteed by 10:30AM the next working/business day for most of the country, but if you lived in the boonies out in Alabama or Alaska or somewhere, they would only guarantee noon, and if you were really far from civilization, they would only even guarantee it by the end of the business day).

Then, I had to go online and file claims for all of the ones that were after their delivery cutoff.”

This is the very reason we created PackageFox. You have better things to do than wade through piles of receipts. And you have better things for your employees to do as well.

Hopefully this helped you see the true benefit of using PackageFox to manage your late expedited shipments.
